Video slide show of the 2010 race
The proceeds from the event (about $30,000) are donated to one of Reston's oldest, and
Northern Virginia's most successful, non-profit organizations,
Reston Interfaith.
Reston Interfaith promotes self-sufficiency through support and advocacy for
those in need of food, shelter, affordable housing, quality childcare,
and other services.
The CORE Foundation, in cooperation with
Reston Association,
presents the event. This event could not be held without the help of our many
dedicated volunteers, and we thank them. If you wish to volunteer to help in
planning and/or during the next event, please fill out our
volunteer form.
The swim
is in the Lake Newport pool. ¼ mile (400 meters)
(11601 Lake Newport Road, Reston)
The bike segment is
12 miles (20 Km) all within North Reston, with police and volunteer course monitors.
The run segment is in the heart of north Reston and takes advantage of Reston's famed shaded pathways for the 3 mile (5 Km) run. With a family-friendly atmosphere, fast course, and early morning start, the race is always a special event. |
